Instructions FoxyRevolver (CLS FoxyRevolver)

We have taken a well known proxy manager and adapted it for our collective craigslist purposes. What we have specifically done to add to this already great proxy manager is included a new option to revolve the proxies on a timer. FoxyRevolver installs right into the Firefox browser and manages all the proxies for all of Firefox. We designed this to be the companion of our auto flaggers. You can now use a timed revolving custom proxy / vpn list in any version of windows, linux or mac!

  • based on the heavily supported and documented FoxyProxy
  • works with all kinds of ip addresses, not just elite proxies
  • installs right in your Firefox browser
  • redesigned to work along with our flagger systems perfectly

Install

Installing CLS FoxyRevolver

The tricky part of the installation for some it seems is simply the activation of the plugin in the Firefox extensions menu following the installation. Just follow the instructions in the activation tab to overcome this issue. To be able to install our Craigslist Software, you will be required to install Firefox 38 first and only this version, our software doesn’t work with any other version, so don’t experiment or imagine these are just out-dated instructions, this page has been updated in 2018. Simply follow all of our directions in order please to avoid confusion during the set up and maintenance of your craigslist software. Our FoxyRevolver is managed by a Firefox Plugin called CLS FoxyRevolver.

CLS FoxyRevolver Windows Installation:

Our PC software is designed to work with Firefox 38 only.

1) Install Firefox 38.

2) Download the installer program from our download link or visit the Download page. Then in your Firefox tool bar find it by going to Tools>> Downloads.

3) You will need to exit all programs now, this includes your browsers.

4) Log in as administrator (important!!), and while you are still connected to the internet, click the installer’s icon to install our program.

5) Run the installer application and enter your membership details (*Install right over top of old software if it exists), the login information for your members area, the email address you signed up with, and your members password. You were sent a welcome note when you signed up, the email address that this note was sent to is your membership address. *Reset your CLS password if you have already forgot it.

6) Once you have completed your installation, please restart your system. You do not get multiple installs, you get one installation unless you have purchased a multi license with multiple installations. Once you have successfully installed the software, our security will not allow you to install it again. You can however use the Update feature to restore it as often as you like. You will need to read and follow the instructions in the following tabs to activate & authenticate your new software.

7) Activate the CLS FoxyRevolver Firefox Plugin. After installation of our software, it is likely that the CLS FoxyRevolver plugin is disabled in Firefox by default. A Firefox Upgrade or re-installation can also result in disabled plugins. Simply navigate to the “Tools >> Add-ons>> Extensions” and the CLS FoxyRevolver plugin will be found there. Enable it if it is not already, and restart Firefox.

8) Authenticate the CLS FoxyRevolver. When you click the gear icon retrieved from the customize toolbar panel for the first time, you are asked for your CLS credentials. Once you enter the correct username / password combo you created (when you registered by purchasing the software), the gear icon changes to a ticking clock and you are ready to use our software as intended. *Reset your CLS password if you have already forgot it.

Lost your password? Cannot log into your software? Please enter your username / email address. You will receive a new password link via email.

CLS App Manager Mac installation:

Our Mac software is designed to work with Firefox 38 Mac only.

1) Install Firefox 38 Mac.

2) To prevent any unintentional Firefox interruptions of your flagging tools, you need to disable automatic updates from Firefox (Tools > Option > Advanced > Updates).

3) Visit the Download page from within Firefox 38 Mac  to install your software immediately, agree to the Firefox prompt to install from our server. Our Firefox will install your plugin in just a few seconds from our Download page.

6) Activate the CLS FoxyRevolver Firefox Plugin.

7) Authenticate the CLS FoxyRevolver.

Firefox installs often with the top menu invisible. To show this menu go to any of of the Firefox icons in the toolbar and right click it. Click Menu Bar to expose this menu. Please use the menu bar at the top of Firefox (right click the download arrow in the Firefox toolbar and activate the Menu Bar if it’s not there by default) Go to Tools>> Add-ons>> Extensions: and find the CLS FoxyRevolver Add-on and activate it and restart.

If you just cannot figure out the Menu Bar setting for some reason, you can alternatively download this Add-on checker program, and double click it to access the Extensions area of Firefox, where our software installs itself.

extensions menuIn the Firefox Menu Bar, navigate to the “Tools >> Add-ons” and you will see the App Manager just underneath the Extensions tab. That is where we install and manage the specific Apps. If the drop down menu on the tool bar says no apps are active, this is because you are not on the proper craigslist page, and all our apps deactivate when you are not on the applicable craigslist page they were designed for.

After installation of our software, it is likely that the CLS FoxyRevolver plugin is disabled by default. A Firefox Upgrade or re-installation can also result in disabled plugins. Simply navigate to the “Tools >> Add-ons>> Extensions” and the CLS FoxyRevolver plugin will be found there. Enable it if it is not already, and restart Firefox.

After you have installed FoxyRevolver, just right click the tool bar (beside the address bar) in Firefox, select “customize” from the drop down menu. Or you can go to View >> Toolbars >> and click “customize“. Find the icon that looks like a gear, it usually says “Auto Cycle” (as pictured below in the toolbar image its the gear) and drag it out of the customize bin, into any position on the tool bar you like. At the same time, you can drag any other icons on your toolbar to re-arrange them for your convenience as we have done in the image below. Zion Flagger, then Foxy Revolver timer (gear icon) and then Foxy Revolver icons are on the left of the image below. So, to be clear, Foxy Revolver has 2 icons associated with it, the gear (for the timer), and the gas-mask.

Our software installs for all profiles in the main program directory. It cannot just disappear unless you remove it. If you remove the software, you need to repurchase it to get a new license. If you declined to set a restore point in your own system like we warn you to in multiple places, you may have issues of this nature.

Authenticate

Authenticate your CLS FoxyRevolver

toolbar2

When you click that gear icon in the left of the above image for the first time, you will need to log in with your members credentials to use FoxyRevolver, username & password. If you don’t remember them, you can reset your password here.

After the initial login, the gear will turn into a ticking clock while the software is actively revolving your proxies. This means that it is actively switching your proxies for Firefox, and all active pages opened in Firefox. When you click the ticking clock icon, the revolving feature will stop. You can then click the FoxyRevolver icon in the tool bar to select which ip you want to be using manually.

When the program icon is spinning, this means that you are routing your traffic through an ip. Just click the icon to check which ip, or to turn the proxy feature off all together.By selecting the options menu from Firefox >> Tools >> FoxyRevolver >> Options, or clicking on the toolbar icon, you will find in the right hand lower corner of the options popup, an interval selector. This is where you set the timer by which your proxies will revolve. FoxyRevolver must not be actively revolving the proxies when you set the timer, you should see the gear icon, not the ticking clock when setting your timer.

If you set your Firefox to not remember History, or set your privacy settings to not accept cookies, this will likely be the cause. However, if more than 180 days have elapsed since your purchase, your license has expired, this may also be the reason. To be clear, if you have purchased your software before Wednesday the 25th of October, 2017 it will not update or authenticate. Please ensure that you are using the correct username and members password to install and to also activate the software when you turn it on from within the browser as depicted above. For your convenience, your Ghostbusters Membership, installer & activation username are all authenticated with the email / password combo you signed up with. You may reset your members password anytime if you have since forgotten it.

Lost your password? Cannot log into your software? Please enter your username / email address. You will receive a new password link via email.

Configure Firefox

Our PC software is designed to work with Firefox 38 only.

Our Mac software is designed to work with Firefox 38 Mac only.

It is required to prevent Firefox from updating from Firefox 38. On occasion, if Firefox is allowed to do as it pleases, it can disrupt your Craigslist Software. Our installer adds a configuration file to your default Firefox program folder to do this step for you automatically, along with about 30 other performance tweaks for Firefox. However, if you decided to delete the Firefox program folder or not install Firefox until after you install our software despite the order our instructions are listed, then you can either then run the CLS Restore / Update feature which will re-add that configuration file back into to your fresh Firefox installation, or you can freeze Firefox manually.

As you may have noticed, Firefox can sometimes interrupt different plugins with an automatic update. If you do not want any unforeseen irritation from an automatic Firefox update – we strongly suggest you do not allow it to update on it’s own. If the features described are grayed out in your configuration panels, then our configuration file is in effect, and you need not bother with any such Firefox settings.

All you need to do is Freeze Firefox, and everything is as it once was, and all of your favorite plugins, including ours of course, continue to work just fine. Click the image on the left to see how to Freeze your Firefox.

*Now is a good time to set a system restore point after your software is installed and configured, this way, if you have any major problem, you can simply restore your system to the point it was last operational with our software installed, and you will not need to repurchase the software or use the built in CLS Restore / Update feature. Heed this warning please.

Troubleshooting

If you have a system crash, it is possible you will damage your CLS FoxyRevolver, or Firefox, or Windows files. If you click the CLS Restore / Update feature for your software, it will replace all of the CLS FoxyRevolver core files. If there is still an error, you can try a system restore, this works 80% of the time. If this doesn’t work, it is possible your Firefox profile has become corrupted. Rather than delete the entire profile, or reinstall Firefox (you will lose your flagger) you can simply delete the prefs file found in your Firefox profile folder. To do this quickly, just visit Help>>Troubleshooting Information and on that page, it says Show profile folder. Click that button, and shut off Firefox. Go into the profile folder that you opened, and rename prefs.js to prefs.jsold. Then restart Firefox.

If you are still out of luck, you will need to reinstall Firefox 38. If you damage your own system with bad shutdowns, or by allowing Firefox to auto-update, just use the CLS Restore / Update feature and simply re-activate and re-authenticate the CLS FoxyRevolver.

Q&A

My software seems to have installed but does not showin the Firefox toolbar..

Check your other addon’s.. (disable all other plugins if you have a conflict), and restart Firefox. Then check your Addon’s again, and you should find CLS FoxyRevolver. Enable it if it has been automatically disabled, and restart Firefox. This will resolve the issue, and your new installation will now appear as it should in your toolbar of Firefox and you can proceed to the Authentication step when you turn on the plugin via the toolbar.

Do you have an invasive super paranoid anti-virus installed? Norton is know to interfere with many different kinds of software and even windows itself. If this is the case, disable or replace your anti-virus with a known working free antivirus such as Avast.

My software installed but will not authenticate..

If you set your Firefox to not remember History, or set your privacy settings to not accept cookies, this might be the cause. However, if you have made more than one account, a free account, and a paid account, this may also be the reason. You need to check your My Downloads page, to see if you are using the correct credentials for the software. Our software is attached to the account that you registered as you paid.

Do I need Proxies to use CraigsPoster Pro or a Flagger?

CraigsPoster Pro is the only software that can repost from 10 accounts with NO PROXIES REQUIRED. Our Flaggers work best with proxies which FoxyRevolver has been designed to manage.

How do I find out if my Proxy is from where they say it’s from? How does Craigslist know where I’m located?

Craigslist uses state of the art geoip-location services such as Maxmind to pinpoint your IP’s location. This online tool uses the exact same database as Craigslist to determine where in the world your IP is from along with other information that is provided by Maxmind. Visit http://www.ip-tracker.org/ to see all of the information that craigslist can tell about you directly from your IP alone. You can also use this web-tool to check the validity and location of all of your proxies as well before you try to use them for flagging on Craigslist.

I want to put this on more than one machine, how do I do that?

One computer per license, one installation only. Your “extra” downloads are in the event you are visiting the link from the wrong browser or something, not for extra machines. Just click any applicable link or packge in or store. We have economic multi-licensing options for many of our programs and our windows Trinity bundle. If you have bought either Zion or Craigsposter already, ask support if they can throw in FoxyRevolver if you would like to purchase the complimentary piece of software, we can probably do that for you.

I disagree with the restrictions!

If you are reading this, your software is already installed. We have a record of this, and the IP and machine its been placed on. Due to the fact that our products are downloadable (intangible), there is no way to return them. If we see you attempting to manipulate our security or our support, you will be banned very quickly with no refunds, support, or further access to the members areas. If you can see this page, there are no refunds, you agreed to this before downloading, its in our terms and conditions.

How do I contact support, what is the best time?

You can reach us here, and you can send your mails when ever you like. Our staff does their best to serve you as fast as possible. Sometimes we are able to assist you outside of business hours, and if we are here we will. If we are unavailable, please be patient. There are very few of us dealing with very many. If you are disrespectful to the support staff, they may at their discretion mark your email as spam, and we will no longer receive them. If you bought the software and the tutorials, you are entitled to them. You are entitled to have the software installed on one machine, as it is right now.

You are not entitled to email us with every personal problem or general issues unrelated to our software. It is our goal to work with everyone as partners in our effort to make Craigslist profitable for us all. Incessant or repetitive emails just can’t be dealt with. We need our support staff to be dealing with technical support. The members area is for the methodology required to make the software perform optimally.

If there is truly something that we have not addressed in the members areas that is limiting your ability to use our software, please let us know. If you have a testimonial or a great suggestion, we would be glad to hear it. We are constantly updating the members section with new scripts cool software and more elaborate tutorials. Please give us some room to perform for all of our members by limiting your use of our support staff. Our programmers and graphics guys are answering your mails as double duty, and it is impossible to get anything done some days. Thanks for your patience, support, and understanding.

Update your CLS FoxyRevolver

*Our installers always fetch the most current updated version, as does our built in CLS Restore / Update feature. You don’t need to contact support to update and or restore your software as often as you like.

*Mac users do not have an update feature built in.

Our software comes with a built in update / repair feature. You can access this feature anytime during your license period, if you had a bad windows crash etc, simply running our update / repair tool will repair your software from any system issues. There is no need to ask us, or contact support to maintain your own software completely. You get one installation on one machine once only which also embeds an unlimited update feature. After that, you always have your update / repair program in your program directory to resolve anything you might need. This feature is also how we control the license on your system. The updater verifies your license is still valid as you update or restore your software without any intervention required from our team.

You will need to enter your membership credentials, your username and password to install or update your craigslistsoftware products. If you do not remember your credentials, you were sent a welcome email when you purchased the software. This email address is your Member’s username . You chose your password. If you cannot remember your site password, please reset it here.

We will be addressing any defects in our software as fast as possible. If Craigslist changes their site for any reason, we cannot predict this and it will take just a bit of time for us to adapt to their new code. We appreciate your patience when this occurs, your welcome to drop us a quick note if your software stops functioning, we will put your report on the desk of our software crew if it is a craigslist update that caused the issue. If craigslist has not changed anything, then it is your system with the fault, and you may use the built in update feature. You will not be charged for the updates, this is free of charge for 6 months.

Windows only ~ Update link is in your program directory, just click it for the latest version of your flagger to be installed into your system. You need not contact support. Your updater will function for 180 days from date of purchase.

Mac only ~ You can find your update in your account under “My Account >> My Downloads”. This is where we will be putting them when they are ready for download. Contact us if you need an update and you don’t see one in your downloads page.

If you need more information about the CLS Restore / Update feature, it is found on the Updates Page.

Support

CLS (Craigs List Software) Support

Edit Delete RepostSoftware developers and tech support personel use specific terms such as Download, Install, Activate and Authenticate by which to describe in which mode you are interacting with the software. You cannot call every function downloadin. First, you Download the software, then you Install it, then you go into Firefox and Activate it, then you turn it on in the toolbar by Authenticating it. We need to agree upon these terms to communicate with you effectively. If you have actually downloaded and installed the software but cannot find it because you didnt activate it in Firefox settings, or have activated it, but cannot use it because you didnt turn it on in the toolbar by authenticating it, then you didnt review the instructions in the preceeding tabs correctly or completely. There are only really a couple of solutions to remedy nearly everything. Reset forgotten passwords, and restore / update the software. If you managed to get past the installer, the CLS Restore / Update feature is already built into your program directory. If you suspect your software is not working, you can update it any time.

Please do not assume you can find the software unless you review the “Activate” tab and make sure it has been activated, its built right into Firefox and you will not see it unless you activate the plugin and follow all associated instructions.

For general inquiries, please fill out the contact form and we will respond shortly. Usually we can get to it right away, but due to the large volume of customers and our own varying schedules, we must ask a little of your patience.

To avoid confusion, please include your payment email, which is also your username and your order number so we can find you in our system and respond quickly. We need you to include your username, which is your PayPal email you signed up with for your security, to make sure we are dealing with the person who paid for the software.

Please Do not remove the software for any reason, if you do, we can not replace it for free. If you have any issues you cannot overcome via resetting password or using the CLS Restore / Update feature, you need to contact support. If you removed it anyway, you need to visit our store and buy a new copy. Our license is for ONE INSTALL ONLY, as all our clients agree to during the installation. We are very upfront about this and very strict about our policy. This is why it is important for you to create a System Restore Point (Right Now) the moment all of your software is installed and operational, and take care of your system.
